Ten Caat Posted May 25, 2019 Report Posted May 25, 2019 Just been confirmed permanent Dhims manager Quote
tom_widdows Posted May 25, 2019 Report Posted May 25, 2019 Seems a lazy (dare I say desperate) appointment. Perhaps they are under orders to make it a more 'competitive' old firm league next season. Quote
Elgindon Posted May 25, 2019 Report Posted May 25, 2019 Poor move(for them),just the stimulus the Hun need,........not ruling out us having an amazing transfer window though Quote
manc_don Posted May 25, 2019 Report Posted May 25, 2019 Surprised. They've been very mediocre under him from what I've read and seen. Only brings the hun closer to them. Quote
Jute Posted May 26, 2019 Report Posted May 26, 2019 Can only be because he is the cheap option. Most victims I know did not want him to get the job. Quote
rocket_scientist Posted May 26, 2019 Report Posted May 26, 2019 Can only be because he is the cheap option. Most victims I know did not want him to get the job. I doubt that money is the main driver. They went for an available option to see out this season. He delivered. He loves the club. The fans were singing his name. He's popular amongst the players. No brainer to give him the job. The three Celtic fans I'm closest to all didn't want him to get it. But like the Aberdeen fans I know best, including family, we aren't fans of McInnes and yet like the Celtic crowd, our fans chanted support for the manager on more than one occasion. Where there is a disconnect between rational, thinking fans and the herd, it's safe to say the manager isn't going to succeed long term. It can only go downhill from here, for both Celtic and AFC.
