Ten Caat Posted September 15, 2019 Report Posted September 15, 2019 Have been priveliged to witness some fantastic finishes in the Ryder Cup over the years but what just happened half an hour ago has just topped the lot. With the last 6 matches on the course looked like the European ladies were going to come up a point or 2 short. With 2 matches left on the course, it still looked like a very improbable task, both matches all square but Europe needing to win both. Law bunkered on the 15th and leaves her first attempt still in there but somehow put her next one to 8 feet and holed for the half. Then won the next 2 holes, the win at the 17th coming a minute before the grand climax. Suzann Petterson, captains pick ranked 600 odd in the world, only played a couple of tournaments in 2 years after the birth of her son. 8 feet left to win the Cup! And promptly rolled it in. Winning the Cup with the very last putt in the very last match on the course. Unbelieveable! Massive congratulations The European Ladies Team! Quote
Goldie03 Posted September 16, 2019 Report Posted September 16, 2019 It was tremendous nail-biting stuff, had thought about going and really wish I had been there but opted for a weekend in Dundee instead Quote
