Ajja
Their win bonuses can't be that much, surely? I read that figure somewhere this week, Scotsman I think. No idea how real it is.
BobbyBiscuit
I read that figure somewhere this week, Scotsman I think. No idea how real it is. It's quite possibly very accurate as everytime they appear to be doing well on the pitch, off the pitch goes tits up. MESSAGE FROM BOARD ROOM: STOP WINNING. CtS
I read that too, £1000 win bonuses. Pllus it's in the paper today that Kingston is on 15k per week. Big money, but not that unusual for teams competing in the knockout stages of the Champions League.
???
I read that figure somewhere this week, Scotsman I think. No idea how real it is. It may well be true, but it just seems an awful lot of money, no wonder they're fucked.

TENEMENTFUNSTER
A grand is a pretty outstanding win bonus. Of course, they can afford it.
Ajja
Who traditionally gets the win bonus ? Do you have to have played in the game or is it paid to the entire squad ?

Jute
According to Edinburgh Evening News some of the Hearts players were not paid on Monday as was originally claimed. Article below. Several Hearts players still waiting for wages By BARRY ANDERSON SEVERAL Hearts players have still not received their overdue wages from last week, the Evening News can reveal. Certain members of the squad, understood to include Andy Driver, Bruno Aguiar and Christos Karipidis, were not paid on Monday when the club processed outstanding monies for their players. As of this morning, the individuals concerned were yet to receive their salaries. They were asked to be patient about the issue during a meeting with senior Hearts officials yesterday, however, no date has been given regarding when wages will arrive. A Tynecastle source said: "It seems not everyone got their money on Monday and there was a meeting about it." With this week's salaries due to drop into players' accounts tomorrow, players have been left fearing a repeat scenario of last week's delay. Wages initially failed to arrive last Friday with the club and officials at Vladimir Romanov's Ukio Bankas Investment Group, Hearts' parent company, stating it was simply a time delay and that payments would go through on Monday. It has emerged that, while many players did receive funds at the start of the week, some did not. Furthermore, Arbroath are ready to intensify their attempts to recoup a sell-on fee from Hearts for Andy Webster. The Gayfield club agreed to accept £14,437 plus VAT from the £150,000 Wigan paid Hearts for Webster following a ruling from the Court of Arbitration for Sport in January this year. However, that debt is still outstanding. John Christison, the Arbroath chairman, said today: "We had a board meeting on Tuesday night and we discussed a number of things we could do to try and get the money," confirmed Christison. "We are in touch with the SFA over this but one thing we could do is to ask to freeze their gate receipts and we could also look at applying a signing ban. "We have been too nice about this for too long and it's sad it has come to this."
Mackie's ace!
No, sorry, the auditor point was in relation to Ukio Bankas parent company. The accountancy firm being Ernst & Whinney. Wires crossed as the info is not direct from me Ernst & Young. Not been known as E&W since the early 90s I think!

baggy89
This comment seems strangely ironic given the prospective outcome. And the word I just heard at Greggs in Leith is that the hobos have yet to receive payment for the tickets that we sold for the last derby match ... Who is that will be "homeless"
BobbyBiscuit
While not ignoring our financial problems Aberdeen have their own financial issues and this could be as much about their predicament as it could be about ours.
Ajja
I have a feeling that this thread is going to be up top for a while When I spoke to him three weeks ago my 'source' had said that this Friday was likely to be breaking point for the club. Will be interested to find out what happens with this weeks £200K wage bill
BobbyBiscuit
Not sure if this is old news, so apologies if it is, but supposedly "Mad Vlad" offered to register as a player to help Kaunas out of a bit of bad form!! And to think they beat the huns...
topcorner
My Jambo mate told me that Vlad will be selling the club in the summer without the debt! I do believe the Maroon side of Edinburgh are growing more worried by the day
