I see that chappy Pushapushpop is in the papers saying that just about the entire Hearts team are hating their current pre-season training in Austria/Germany. They've spent all their preseason doing fitness work, and none of it doing any football-related work. As such, they've been royally shagged by two part-time teams in Austria!!

Oh this is comedy that not even the late great Ronnie Barker could make up.

Have you seen the photos??!  They've been doing wheelbarrow races!   ;D

Noticed that they got pumped 2-0 by their Lituanian-based B-team in a training match too.

I heard they were keen on doing the egg'n'spoon race too, but rumour has it that Stevie Fulton had come across to Germany to help out with the pre-season training, and there was the danger that he would eat all the eggs before they had the chance to use them

Just been on a Sunday session with some mates, one of the regulars they know in the pub they work in (The Roseburn) was the arresting officer when Lee Wallace got done for possession of the gun.

The account of the incident made my day

When was that incident?

One of my old mates from Edinburgh (now working at Fingers Piano Bar, where Ebbe can be seen playing the piano) was the barman who invited Russell Latapy and Dwight Yorke into his pub for a lock-in, which infamously resulted in the pair's drink-driving incident about five or six years ago.

When was that incident?

Last summer I think.

A car was reported to the police by community wardens as acting suspicously out in Sighthill. They went oot and got them all out of the car and the guy asked him if he had anything on him, he was shocked when he said yes and tried to pull a gun out of his pocket!

What's this doing languishing on page 3?

As bad as our start has been, at least we've not been held to a draw, at home, by Gretna.

Hibs boy just gave me his copy of todays Edinburgh Evening News

Hearts today announced proposals of their new main stand at Tynecastle costing £50 Million. The 10,000 seater stand will increase capacity to 25,000. It will incorporate leisure facilities such as hotels, bars, restaurants and commercial office space

Now that would mean a debt of £80 because lets face it Romanov isn’t going to invest anything. The debt would be crippling!

Hearts owner Vlad trains for Strictly Come Dancing TV show in Lithuania

By Amy Devine

HEARTS supremo Vladimir Romanov is to star in a Strictly Come Dancing-style TV show in his home country.

The tycoon is in training for the reality programme called Dance With A Star in Lithuania.

Romanov and professional dancer Sandra Kniazeviciute will battle nine other couples.

He has already been pictured waltzing with Sandra in an empty stadium for publicity shots.

But the former Cold War submariner has revealed he had to overcome nerves to take the floor.

He said: "Sometimes I go to dances, I look, and that's all. I have not enough courage to dance."

The multi-millionaire, known for his unpredictable behaviour, will go head-to-head in the show with celebs including a singer and a politician.

The series will be launched on Lithuania TV next month.

See the Lithuanain State Circus have today been fined £20k for their poor disciplinary record last season. Think it was something like nine reds and ninety yellows or something, inspite of previously having been told to clean up their act.
