dave_min Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 Doesn't add up... wants to stay at a club that might nae be able to pay his wages?! Can leave for free at the end of the season, or be tied up to some Austrian cunts for a couple years. Quote
El Padre™ Posted February 8, 2012 Report Posted February 8, 2012 Hearts owner Vladimir Romanov's two other clubs FBK Kaunas and Partizan Minsk have been demoted from their domestic leagues in Lithuania and Belarus, respectively, after the businessman withdrew his investment from both clubs. Tyrant Posted February 8, 2012 Report Posted February 8, 2012 Maybe he did that so he's got extra financial clout to put behind Hearts. Quote
glasgow sheep Posted February 16, 2012 Author Report Posted February 16, 2012 No laughing this month I'm afraid as they have managed to pay their wages on time Quote
dave_min Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 No laughing this month I'm afraid as they have managed to pay their wages on time Personally, I'm laughing at the fact that they're so pish at paying wages that this is newsworthy. Quote
maverick sheep Posted March 15, 2012 Report Posted March 15, 2012 Hearts players face another wage delay Hearts players are unlikely to be paid their monthly salary on Friday as scheduled. Board members told the squad that UBIG, the Lithuanian bank owned by majority shareholder Vladimir Romanov, was still trying to secure the required funds. Players officially complained to the Scottish Premier League in December, following three consecutive and substantial delays in monthly payments. However, the club avoided threatened sanctions from the SPL. Wages arrived late in January, but only by one day, and the league chose not to follow up with a charge of "failing to behave with the utmost good faith to the SPL." There's been a disgraceful lack of lols in this story recently Quote
CtS Posted March 15, 2012 Report Posted March 15, 2012 More than adequately compensated for in other threads however. Quote
glasgow sheep Posted March 16, 2012 Author Report Posted March 16, 2012 Indeed the other thread is in danger of overtaking this one. Still with all the hysteria about the Rangers situation not sure if it is a good or bad time for Hearts to renegade on wages again Quote

Still with all the hysteria about the Rangers situation not sure if it is a good or bad time for Hearts to renegade on wages again Did you type this on your phone? I take it you meant renegue or renege. (same word) We could do with Hearts going into administration. We'd be in line for the top 6 cup. Quote

Penfold Posted March 16, 2012 Report Posted March 16, 2012 Presume Vlad will claim he can't pay due to not receiving the monies owed to them by the hun. They are owed £0 by Rangers at this time. Quote
baggy89 Posted March 16, 2012 Report Posted March 16, 2012 They are owed £0 by Rangers at this time. Oh I thought they were owed money from the Wallace sale. Was there not something in January that Hearts were willing to accept £700k and write off the remaining £300k in order to at least get some payment? Quote
Penfold Posted March 16, 2012 Report Posted March 16, 2012 The next payment is not due until July though so Rangers don't owe it yet and Hearts certainly can't blame unpaid wages on it (you'd think ) Quote

glasgow sheep Posted June 7, 2012 Author Report Posted June 7, 2012 It's been a while: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18362868 Manager Paulo Sergio leaves Hearts after rejecting deal Hearts have announced that they have parted company with Paulo Sergio, their Portuguese manager. Sergio, who led Hearts to Scottish Cup success in May, said he could not accept the offer made to him to stay. A statement on Hearts' website said: "The club had been hopeful recent negotiations with Sergio would have a successful conclusion but he has opted not to extend his stay at Tynecastle." First-team coach Gary Locke will remain at the Edinburgh club. Hearts say they have begun to look for a replacement for Sergio, 44, who took over from Jim Jefferies after his sacking in August 2011. One of the main contenders is thought to be another Portuguese manager, Jose Couceiro. Quote

Tyrant Posted June 8, 2012 Report Posted June 8, 2012 Wins cup, leaves. Must be dough. He was apparently offered a 40% pay cut to stay. So understandably he's told them to GTF to fuck. Quote
Jute Posted June 8, 2012 Report Posted June 8, 2012 Wins cup, leaves. Must be dough. According to Hearts fans at work its a combination of that and him being told he would not be getting any cash to replace players who are leaving. Quote
stubo72 Posted June 8, 2012 Report Posted June 8, 2012 Let's be honest, no manager worth their salt would manage up here these days. Shite teams, shite players, shite league. Not much cop on the old CV... Only reason one would stay is for relatively silly money. Quote
