baggy89 Posted January 27, 2021 Report Posted January 27, 2021 Aren’t Wigan in admin? Or financial difficulties with new owners being sought, at least? Maybe we are looking at a swap with a player on their books earning more than Ojo? Quote
BigAl Posted January 27, 2021 Report Posted January 27, 2021 Not exactly likely to be on a higher wage than Ojo but could it be Scotland U19 international forward Kyle Joseph ? Ready made replacement for Cosgrove, only having already scored more than once in his career. Quote

Think the deal is that we pay his wages, travel expenses, a £3K per week embarrassment fee and they'll take him, on the condition it's not mentioned outside Scotland. Quote
Jute Posted January 27, 2021 Author Report Posted January 27, 2021 Confirmation from McInnes that Ojo down South negotiating a loan deal. https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/sport/football/aberdeen-fc/2849989/aberdeen-boss-derek-mcinnes-confirms-midfielder-funso-ojo-looks-set-to-depart-dons/ Hopefully means we are getting a loan fee. Slim Posted January 28, 2021 Report Posted January 28, 2021 Ross Stewart coming in on loan for 6 months. At least he will in a year from now as he’s about to sign for Sunderland. Quote

While in dreamland, I’d take Watkins back if we can afford it, but he wasn’t a goal scorer. Who else?? Edited January 28, 2021 by LA-Don Quote
baggy89 Posted January 29, 2021 Report Posted January 29, 2021 Read on Twitter last night it was Nisbet. Could just have been someone heard “Brum in for SPFL striker” and went for him, though. Quote

ayrshire_don74 Posted January 29, 2021 Report Posted January 29, 2021 fee agreed great business given recent form Quote
Elgindon Posted January 29, 2021 Report Posted January 29, 2021 (edited) Well, £2m for the current Cosgrove is a top bit of business. Was hoping he'd refind that form of a couple of seasons ago. Nae sure it was us or he the problem, probably a bit of both, but not helped by having his back to goal most of the time If theres no obvious replacement targets meantime(and lets not shoehorn someone in for the sake of it),I'd give McGinn or MacLennan a run to see what they can do Edited January 29, 2021 by Elgindon Quote
Kowalski Posted January 29, 2021 Report Posted January 29, 2021 Yes we should bite their arms off. Unfortunately I feel this will help keep the lights on rather than lead to investment in the playing staff. Quote
RicoS321 Posted January 29, 2021 Report Posted January 29, 2021 Best for all he moves on. Despite scoring 20+ goals in two consecutive seasons, the fans never really took to him. Seems a nice lad, hopefully he'll do well. I have no doubts that he can go on to good things if played correctly (consistently). Good luck to him. Quote
wee toon red Posted January 29, 2021 Report Posted January 29, 2021 (edited) McInnes hoping for "a good couple of days" in the transfer market if Cosgrove does go. Which Hun striker will we get in exchange for Wright leaving now then? Do they have any we're familiar with? Edited January 29, 2021 by wee toon red Quote

Hopefully we can spend a million on the next Hernandez. Has there been any confirmation of him actually leaving the club, or are we simply paying him to spend time in Venezuela? Quote
baggy89 Posted January 29, 2021 Report Posted January 29, 2021 Good luck to Cossie. Probably perfectly suited to English Championship, sure he'll do well. Jones going to Sunderland as well as another former McInnes target, Stewart? Their signing for AFC in January 2022 will probably coincide with McGeouch returning from injury for a week. Really excited for that! Imagine if we'd realised the value for our players at any time other than during a pandemic... Quote
