manc_don Posted April 14, 2021 Report Posted April 14, 2021 Livi haven't been on the best run of form of late, and obviously got pumped by Celtic at the weekend. Last time out against us (at Pittodrie) we lose 2-0, a game which kinda summed our season up. A fumbling Lewis, shite team from McInnes, no proper strikers and no goals. Obviously this is SG's first game in charge and all the talk (understandably) has been very positive, so I am very intrigued to see what team he puts out. I doubt there'd be a magically change in quality of play, but who knows. He's got a few big calls to make. The draw has been favourable to us, so we really need to make this cup competition count. Out Bed Bed Bed 1-0 Dons, Ferguson Quote
RicoS321 Posted April 14, 2021 Report Posted April 14, 2021 Looking forward to it, wouldn't expect much change from the second half of last week. Glass had been fortunate with the timing of his arrival. Hornby being fit makes a big difference to the setup of the team. It's not that I think he's particularly great (jury is still out), but having a number 9 on the pitch completely effects the way we play and brings out the best in the other players. We've not had a fit number nine this year and arguably all season despite Watkins playing the role very well. Hopefully Hornby shoes what his large transfer fees were all about. Quote
HaarDon Posted April 15, 2021 Report Posted April 15, 2021 Didnt Glass say in an interview there will be a few surprise changes in the team? Quote

tup1 Posted April 15, 2021 Report Posted April 15, 2021 I've no idea how the Livvy players can get geed up by the ex con cokehead with the ridiculous squeaky voice. But they do. This will be a tough game if we play all the old donkeys. If we play the youngsters, we should breeze through. Quote
tlg1903 Posted April 15, 2021 Report Posted April 15, 2021 Really interested to see how Glass approaches this. Livi are no mugs and I would snap your hand off for any kind of victory regardless of how we play Quote
Jute Posted April 15, 2021 Report Posted April 15, 2021 Would expect Hornby to play up front on Saturday instead of Kamberi but still think best option is to play both together. Would stick to back 4 from last Saturday. Cup game so any win will do. oot beach or park with bairn tv flat 1-0 McGinn Quote
Elgindon Posted April 17, 2021 Report Posted April 17, 2021 Looking forward to it.A win is foremost, but be good if we got some sort of positive idea of what to expect from a future Glass team. All the best SG,and COYR Quote
RicoS321 Posted April 17, 2021 Report Posted April 17, 2021 Looks very much like a McInnes team, will be interesting to see the setup. Harsh on McKenzie, I'm guessing Hayes will be left back, or no left back in a three. Quote
ayrshire_don74 Posted April 17, 2021 Report Posted April 17, 2021 players out of position already , another shitebag in charge... unless he is going 2-7-1 1 Quote

RicoS321 Posted April 17, 2021 Report Posted April 17, 2021 I've heard that instead of playing it out from the back, we've adopted a style whereby the ball isn't allowed to touch the ground. Volleys only, no headers. All very American apparently. Quote
