BobbyBiscuit Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 FFS fuck sake GS! :hammer: I'd say it's more to do with Murray being weak as fuck. Quote
Tyrant Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 Murray looking absolutely shit-hot now. Quote
Ptayles Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 Well Done Andy! Dominated that tie break Quote
glasgow sheep Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 Well Done Andy! Dominated that tie break Has he won?? Guess I'll just have to make sure I'm too hung over to get out of bed and watch the final on Sunday Quote
Kowalski Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 Bye Murray. Never in doubt! Final is around the same time on Sunday morning. Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 if he takes the form of the last two sets (mostly) into the final he has a fantastic chance. If he takes the form of the first two sets into it, he'll get his arse handed to him on a plate in no time at all. Quote
amp Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 Good lad Andy So difficult to call this final - can see it going to five sets. Hopefully Andy can take the decider! Quote
Sonoftherock Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 Good lad Andy So difficult to call this final - can see it going to five sets. Hopefully Andy can take the decider! Don't see that myself. Djokovic is playing at a far higher level than Murray. Murray has won the last two matches through sheer bloody-mindedness. Courier has just been talking about how clutch Murrays serve has been on the big points.... just as well, because apart from the big points, he's been struggling. I'll take Djokovic in 3 or 4. The only thing I hold in Murrays favour at the moment, is the weather forecast on Sunday. It's forecast to be 38C and the match is played during the day. Djokovic has struggled in the past when its been hot and the ball moves faster through the air and bounces higher on the court when it's hot. This will play right into Murrays favour. Quote

Is it nae an evening match like today's? Agree with your prediction, though. I think it'll once again be just beyond Andy. Quote

Sonoftherock Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 According to the Aussie Open website, it kicks off at 4.30pm: http://premier.ticketek.com.au/Shows/Show.aspx?sh=AOPENRLA11&view=ao Todays match was 7.30pm. It was only 29C today and melbourne and Jim Courier is going on about how cold its been at night, and how it'll be different on finals day. I was there last week and it was round about the same temperature and I was wearing a sweater during the night session on Rod Laver. It was 38C today in Perth and I'm sitting at home with the Air Con blasting. It will be a lot hotter for the final - as I know to my cost. The sun doesn't set till about half 8 in Melbourne either. Sonoftherock Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 BBC were saying it'll be the same time on Sunday as today's match. Well someone has got it wrong! From what they were saying on Oz TV I reckon its the BBC that are in the wrong. Quote
tlg1903 Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 Just out of curiousity sotr how long are you going to keep the calderwood boys up as your signature? Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 BBC were saying it'll be the same time on Sunday as today's match. Eurosport said the same thing. Unless of course they're just going to be playing it as "live"? Quote
Sonoftherock Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 Eurosport said the same thing. Unless of course they're just going to be playing it as "live"? Maybe there is a doubles match on before or something? Quote
Sonoftherock Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 Just out of curiousity sotr how long are you going to keep the calderwood boys up as your signature? Dunno, I hadn't thought about it. It's a nice picture, so I might keep it! Quote
dickofthedons Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 Its an 8.30 start, has been for as long as I can remember. It definatly was when he played Federer in the final Quote
Kowalski Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 Right c'mon Andy, we could do with being cheered up after yesterday. Good to hear there's a tartan army in Melbourne for this. Quote
