BigAl Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 The Croat was pretty tough to break down. Some of his serving was incredible, but I think Murray actually served twice as many aces as him. Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 Whereas Murray's first serve was appalling. Quote
Kowalski Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 Murray showboating for anyone that missed it: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tennis/13913264.stm Quote
amp Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 Think Murray will take today's match v Gasquet in straight sets. Quote
BigAl Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 Think Murray will take today's match v Gasquet in straight sets. Didn't think so at time you typed that, but now two sets up, a break up in third set and starting to look reasonably comfortable Quote
caledonia Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 Think Murray will take today's match v Gasquet in straight sets. nice call even the so called experts said he would take at least four. Quote
amp Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 Played very well yesterday Another straight sets victory on the cards tomorrow, before facing a tired and possibly injured Nadal in the semis... It's actually working out quite nicely for Andy at the moment, although Lopez will be on a high after his match yesterday as well. Quote
Tyrant Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 Lopez played a 5 setter on Monday and then played in the doubles. So Surely Andy's got to be fresher. Hope he gets the job done efficiently. Not sure that Nadal is tired to be honest. He's one of the fittest players on the tour. A 4 setter is nothing for him after only really winning games in straight sets before his match against Del Potro. His injury might be a factor but I doubt it. I think Nadal's tennis will once again be far too aggressive for Murray to cope with provided he gets through. I say all this because the opposite always happens whenever I predict anything. Quote
Kowalski Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 All going to plan so far, but it's fucking Nadal again in the semi Quote
Goldie03 Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 Welll he is gonna have to beat him sometime if he is ever gonna win anything I won't see the semi on Friday cause I have 27 kids to look after at a bbq Roll on Sunday then and I can have strawberries and cream with champagne Quote
Tyrant Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 Is he first or second on Court on Friday? Quote
BigAl Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 Is he first or second on Court on Friday? Second. Massive day for Murray today. Quote
manc_don Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 My girlfriends off to Wimbledon today....Court no.1. She's absolutely gutted, but I guess thats the way the ballot works! Looks like it should be a decent day, come on Murray! Quote
Tyrant Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 Fit's on Court 1 today apart from absolutely fuck all? Mixed Wheelchair doubles quarter final replay? As much as I'd love to be wrong about this I think Nadal will once again prove to be too good for Murray. Quote
Kowalski Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 Murray's called for the trainer already Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 I'm sick of the sight of Nadal. Bet not half as much as Andy Murray is... Murray fell to pieces after missing the sitter of a forehand on Nadal's serve. had been brilliant up to then. Quote
Kowalski Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 Bet not half as much as Andy Murray is... Murray fell to pieces after missing the sitter of a forehand on Nadal's serve. had been brilliant up to then. That was a key point he lost there. Nadal on a different planet again today. Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 Nadal was superb in the last 3 sets, about as good as Murray was shite, brittle as fuck again. Quote
BigAl Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 Afraid to say....you could see this coming a mile off. Much as I wanted ot be wrong it was purely blid faith and an overly inflated sense of optimism just like folllowing Aberdeen, now i come to think of it Quote
