BigAl Posted July 8, 2013 Report Posted July 8, 2013 The rankings are out. The highest ranked English player is 250 places below Murray! Is it still Fred Perry ? With the exception of him of Toothless Tiger, I'd personally struggle to name one Quote
Tyrant Posted July 8, 2013 Report Posted July 8, 2013 Is it still Fred Perry ? With the exception of him of Toothless Tiger, I'd personally struggle to name one Dan Evans Kyle Edmund Alex Bogdanovic James Ward Is about all I can name. Ross Hutchins too but he's not playing at the moment. Actually not sure if Bogdan is either. Plus he's actually about as British as Greg Rusedski. Anyway they're all shite apart from Andy. Quote
maverick sheep Posted July 8, 2013 Report Posted July 8, 2013 Baker's retired. Liked him til he said he was jealous of his brothers making shitloads of cash as investment bankers so that's what he's going to do too. banker. Quote

Yeah, he should keep playing tennis and eating widden sausages. Just for you. Quote
maverick sheep Posted July 8, 2013 Report Posted July 8, 2013 Investment bankers are huge fuds. Slightly more OT, noticed Reporting Scotland mentioning the Glasgow commonwealths organisers decision to exclude tennis from the games. What utter fannies! How can they be expected to put on a decent games if they don't even think to try and include our greatest current sportsman (given Hoy's retired anyway)? Wallopers. Quote
glasgow sheep Posted July 8, 2013 Report Posted July 8, 2013 Would he play in a commonwealth games? Would be a pretty low quality competition Quote
Tyrant Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 Would he play in a commonwealth games? Would be a pretty low quality competition If I was him I'd only play if there were no better tournaments to play. Which there probably would be. Although maybe he'd be pleased with the chance to represent Scotland instead of Great Britain. Quote

Although maybe he'd be pleased with the chance to represent Scotland instead of Great Britain. It would probably depend upon his slam plans. Having seen him play Davis Cup at Braehead simply playing in Scotland meant a great deal, I think representing Scotland would have too. Quote
Tyrant Posted July 10, 2013 Report Posted July 10, 2013 I know the chances that you made that pic are remote, Kow, but it irks me that the US Open isn't seen as important enough to be on it because they've got the cheek to hold the tournament outside of Great Britain. Quote

Isn't just because its a British winner in a British Olympics and a British tournament, and it was a Scot that did it? Quote
manc_don Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 Lost in the quarters of the Cincinnati masters to Tomas Berdych last night Quote
Kowalski Posted August 29, 2013 Report Posted August 29, 2013 Some fucked up scheduling going on, Murray plays his first round match after some have played their second round matches. Hope he's not at a disadvantage by not starting the tournament until day 3. Quote
Tyrant Posted August 29, 2013 Report Posted August 29, 2013 Aye I wondered wtf the fuck that was all about. Hope it doesn't bite him on the arse. Quote
manc_don Posted September 5, 2013 Report Posted September 5, 2013 Dunno what the fuck he's playing at at the moment. Quote
Goldie03 Posted September 5, 2013 Report Posted September 5, 2013 He's not playing at all - that's the problem!! Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted September 5, 2013 Report Posted September 5, 2013 Miserable performance. Poor poor show. Quote
Kowalski Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 While Wawrinka was excellent, Murray was really disappointing. He's not done much since Wimbledon! And Sean Connery was looking a little frail! Quote
Tyrant Posted October 4, 2013 Report Posted October 4, 2013 Was it down to the apparent back problem (which I thought was fake all along ) or a less hungry-for-success Andy Murray out on court? The Australian Open will be interesting. Quote
Kowalski Posted December 16, 2013 Report Posted December 16, 2013 He beat some egg chaser by almost 350,000 votes last night. Good stuff. Quote
Goldie03 Posted December 16, 2013 Report Posted December 16, 2013 That's great - didn't really need to vote 4 times for him then Quote
