Tyrant Posted May 19, 2014 Report Posted May 19, 2014 Looked almost back to his best last night, very good performance against Nadal on Clay, unlucky not to win. Nadal had to dig very, very deep to grind out the win. I was disappointed that Murray lost the match from a break up in the 3rd even if it was against Nadal and even if Murray did initially go a break down in that set. As far as I could tell Nadal was there for the taking. Unforced errors from Murray cost him dear but having said that it was a hugely encouraging performance and both men played some unreal tennis. Surely Murray must take confidence from this and realise that he can play his tennis on clay and can trouble everyone like he does on the other surfaces. Quote
Kowalski Posted June 6, 2014 Report Posted June 6, 2014 Here we go again I reckon Murray will give Nadal a good game today. Quote

Dandy_Don Posted June 6, 2014 Report Posted June 6, 2014 Never listen to me Might head to Vegas this weekend... who do you think will win? (I'll bet the hoose on the other guy...) Quote
Tyrant Posted June 16, 2014 Report Posted June 16, 2014 Never listen to me I'd rather listen to Coldplay. Quote
BigAl Posted June 17, 2014 Report Posted June 17, 2014 I'd rather listen to Coldplay. Rather harsh. No way Kow is more boring than Coldplay Quote
Tyrant Posted June 26, 2014 Report Posted June 26, 2014 Murray dropped just 2 games in defeating Blaz Rola yesterday in what was, officially, his easiest ever Wimbledon match. Nadal a set and a break down against Rosol again! Quote
Kowalski Posted June 28, 2014 Report Posted June 28, 2014 Murray's on great form, fingers crossed it continues. Quote
Tyrant Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 Decent test in the 3rd set there but Anderson was missing a lot that a Djokovic or Dimitrov just won't so he'll have to find a higher gear despite how well he's playing. The good thing is he's conserving energy so far! Quote
Kowalski Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 Nadal's not a force on grass anymore. Yeah, he prefers the stronger stuff. Allegedly. Murray has a tough route to the final if he's to do it again. Quote
Tyrant Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 Murray lost the 1st set 6-1. On serve in the second. Quote
Tyrant Posted July 7, 2014 Report Posted July 7, 2014 He's lost his hunger. His whole career life was geared towards winning Wimbledon and now he's done that he could either lack direction and struggle or play like a man possessed free of pressure and expectation. Unfortunately it's the former. He needs to punt Mauresmo though. And when he hires a good coach he then needs to listen to the cunt. Quote

Plenty of rumours that Kim fell out with him just before the final, but thankfully he's not used that as an excuse. Bit early to punt Mauresmo though? She's just in the door. Probably wouldn't be in this predicament if he'd stuck with Lendl though. Quote

Haven't heard those rumours. Quote

Yeah he was caught on camera saying something like "five fucking minutes before the match" (or something like that) so plenty of speculation that something happened that may have affected his mentality. He never swore. He said "Forty five minutes before the match" No idea what he was talking about though. Not that it matters to me if he swears or not. Quote
