manc_don Posted September 3, 2014 Report Posted September 3, 2014 Played well against Tsonga. Fucking 2am tonight for the Djokovic match though Think our very own Topcorner will be at that match. Watch out for a guy red as a lobster in the Dons shirt Quote
Tyrant Posted September 4, 2014 Report Posted September 4, 2014 Only caught the end of the match. Murray looked absolutely knackered. As if he'd never played a 3 set match before. Not sure why. I think he was 4-1 down in the 1st but managed to get it back to a tie break? Quote
Kowalski Posted November 26, 2014 Report Posted November 26, 2014 Binned a couple of his long-standing backroom team, and got himself engaged! Quote
Goldie03 Posted January 25, 2015 Report Posted January 25, 2015 Anyone watching Murray this morning. Oooft exciting stuff, 1 set all with Andy just going 5 - 3 up in the third!! F Quote
Kowalski Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 Anyone watching Murray this morning. Oooft exciting stuff, 1 set all with Andy just going 5 - 3 up in the third!! F Aye it was a bit nervy in parts but Murray's fitness seems very good at the moment. He'll be up against most of the stadium tomorrow morning but I reckon he'll reach the semi. Quote
Goldie03 Posted January 27, 2015 Report Posted January 27, 2015 I think he will be fine this morning - and Nadal is out!!!! Quote
manc_don Posted January 27, 2015 Report Posted January 27, 2015 I think he will be fine this morning - and Nadal is out!!!! berdych is a decent opponent but still, ending a 17 game losing streak against him. impressive! Murray should be ok this morning Quote
Tyrant Posted January 27, 2015 Report Posted January 27, 2015 I think he will be fine this morning - and Nadal is out!!!! To be honest Nadal wasn't worrying me too much. He hasn't been his usual devastating self for ages now. Berdych is more likely to beat Murray than Nadal IMO my opinion. If Murray beats Kyrigos (which has just started). Murray's 0-30 down already FFS sake. Sack the board. Quote

Going okay for Murray so far, first set 6-3. Quote
Tyrant Posted January 27, 2015 Report Posted January 27, 2015 Murray is just too classy for this kid. Murray is looking the real deal. Quote
Tyrant Posted January 28, 2015 Report Posted January 28, 2015 Tennis is shite. Eh? Next you'll be telling me that Coldplay aren't one of the best live acts of this generation! Quote
scotfree Posted January 28, 2015 Report Posted January 28, 2015 I don't have to when we have Kow around. Quote
manc_don Posted January 29, 2015 Report Posted January 29, 2015 Currently 6-6 and gone to a tie break for the first set. Edit: Berdych takes the first set 7-6 Quote
manc_don Posted January 29, 2015 Report Posted January 29, 2015 Murray won the second set 6-0... Quote
Kowalski Posted January 29, 2015 Report Posted January 29, 2015 Great stuff. There's been a lot of shite lobbed around about Lendl and Mauresmo but surely Murray is silencing these critics now. Fingers crossed for him on Sunday. The Dons to win on Saturday and Murray to win on Sunday Quote
Tyrant Posted January 29, 2015 Report Posted January 29, 2015 Djokovic is going to have to play at his very best if he wants to stop Murray. Murray's been superb this week. Quote
Tyrant Posted January 29, 2015 Report Posted January 29, 2015 Maybe it's a bit disrespectful to the defending champion to assume Djok will beat him! Sorry Stan. Quote
manc_don Posted January 29, 2015 Report Posted January 29, 2015 Was annoying not being able to watch it, sounded like a great comeback after the wobbler in the first set. What time is the final on? Quote
Tyrant Posted January 29, 2015 Report Posted January 29, 2015 The final will be on at about 9am UK time. I was reading on the BBC that Murray made a "poor start". Pish. He was edged out in the tie break in a set that both men played really well in. Berdych is a right good player and you have to be superb to turn that around into a pretty convincing win like Murray did. Quote
Kowalski Posted February 1, 2015 Report Posted February 1, 2015 High quality tennis so far. Murray hanging in. If Murray does win I hope that Djokovic's thumb injury does not play a big part in the outcome. Quote
