caledonia Posted May 27, 2009 Report Posted May 27, 2009 How many more rounds until the QF in the French ? Murray is into the last 16 (still some games to go in last 32 including Federer) Quote
Ajja Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 This Gonzalez guy is a monster. He has nothing but an enormous forehand but he is pounding Murray at the moment. He is just as likely to hammer the ball into the crowd as within the lines. Very erratic game. Quote
Andrew Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 Murray looks like he's going to win the next set. Quote
Ajja Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 Murray is hanging in there, playing consistenly and letting this nutter make errors and he is doing so, often. Quote
BigAl Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 One set all, but Murray in deep shit in the third already. Broken on first service game, and one break has been enough to win either of the first two sets Quote
scunnered999 Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 Overall I think Murray did well at the French... up until this match anyway... Hopefully will set him up well for a good Wimbledon Quote
dave_min Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 Overall I think Murray did well at the French... up until this match anyway... Hopefully will set him up well for a good Wimbledon Where he'll do Britain proud Let's roll out the Union Jacks... Quote
Andrew Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 Overall I think Murray did well at the French... up until this match anyway... Hopefully will set him up well for a good Wimbledon He did ok in that much it was just that Gonzalez(sic?) was playing some really good shots. Don't know why he is 13th seed though. Clay is Murrays worst surface so he has a good chance of winning the US or Aussie open. Quote
scunnered999 Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 Where he'll do Britain proud Let's roll out the Union Jacks... Hope so seeing as that's what he is... Quote
Kowalski Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 Nadal out of Wimbledon, he was in Murray's side of the draw. Folk will start to get carried away now. Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 Nadal out of Wimbledon, he was in Murray's side of the draw. Folk will start to get carried away now. Won't they just. 6 more unfortunate injuries and he's there! Quote
dave_min Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 Anyone ever been before? I'm going down to London next week and was thinking of heading down, but i'm unsure if it'll be amazing or utter shite? Quote
Tyrant Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 Anyone ever been before? I'm going down to London next week and was thinking of heading down, but i'm unsure if it'll be amazing or utter shite? Well if you can get tickets to a decent match I think it'd be amazing. But that's really unlikely so it'll probably just be shite. Murray's got alot of pressure on him. More so than Tiger Tim becuse unlike Tim Andy's not shite. He's a young guy and has alot to deal with. People are very much getting ahead of themselves and talking as if Andy's already in the final. Obviously with Nadal being out he has a great chance. I just hope he manages to deflect the pressure. (Surely as dificult a task as winning the tournament itself!) Wonder if he'll be Scottish, British or even English (they'll find a way) in 13 days time! Quote
He-Man Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 Well if you can get tickets to a decent match I think it'd be amazing. But that's really unlikely so it'll probably just be shite. Tickets aren't that hard to come by and are for all day so you'll catch a few matches/players weather pending. Quote
scunnered999 Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 Easy to get ground tickets and show courts if you're prepared to pay. Good option is to go to the resale office where you can get CC or No1 court tickets for a fiver later in the day. It's a great day out... they even let you take your own booze in Quote
Tyrant Posted June 24, 2009 Report Posted June 24, 2009 Tickets aren't that hard to come by and are for all day so you'll catch a few matches/players weather pending. Indeed but if it's a British player's day on that court you're going to have to queue for ever to get a ticket. Quote
scunnered999 Posted June 24, 2009 Report Posted June 24, 2009 They shut the gates at 2pm yesterday as they were at capacity... I'm off down to SW19 for a couple of days next week, hope Murray is still about. He struggled a wee bit yesterday but will hopefully improve as he progresses Pimm's ahoy... Quote
