Kowalski Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 Well done son, another hugely important goal this season.  Lets hope some of his doubters lay off him. Great ball from Miller for the goal. Quote
Millers Tache Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 Well done darren. Awesome finish. ...Shite touch and passing though. And he miskicked his goal. He surely never meant to volley it into the ground. Worked his arse off though, i suppose. Quote

Worked his arse off though, i suppose. That probably what got it past boruc ;D ;D Long live Darren Mackie and his shite finishing ;D ;D Come On!!!!! Quote
caledonia Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 Im going to just be honest and say he is not good enough for aberdeen His goals tally in the time he has been with the dons is absymal As for tonights game well done on getting the winner but had a very poor game (cant even remember him getting a touch in the first half) I was actually hoping he was not playing tonight and im not the only one .. But well done tonight lads lets not slip up against queen of the south in the semi Quote
Guest Robo Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 I slated Mackie all evening, was the first time I actually saw him kick the ball. Credit where credit is due, he took us through with that goal, I still do not rate the lad. Miller made both goals over the 2 games. WE NEED TO KEEP HIM! Quote
wee toon red Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 Fair play to the boy, he's grabbed our two most important goals this season Quote
Aberdeen_Ladette Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 credit where credit is due - another very important goal fae Mackie!!! could yez nae have laid off him for 24 hours though ya ungrateful bams And ta for the photos Kowalski, ... already printed to stick on tims desk at work tomorrow Quote
topcorner Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 He doesn't score a lot, but the one's he does score are usually important! Nice one Dazza! Quote
Mackie's ace! Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 I went to watch the game tonight with my dad (not a Dons fan) and listening to the team line up in the car I had a wee rant about Mackie starting having not scored since Dnipro and having a poor goal scoring record. If only he'd prove me wrong every week. Quote
topcorner Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 I too went on a rant when i heard the starting line up. This was due to McNamara though and not Mackie. Don't think anyone had a bad game, although very few actually had a good game. Quote
BigAl Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 credit where credit is due - another very important goal fae Mackie!!! could yez nae have laid off him for 24 hours though ya ungrateful bams Crickey, Al in Jager agreement shocker Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 What were you doing the night, dogging? Wi her da? Oooooft Mackie has scored the 2 most important goals in our recent history and guess what? He is still completely derided by some of the AFC support. You could not make this shit up. Well done wee man. Quote
caledonia Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 Maybe if we had a better return than 24 goals (25 now) in all competitions in 10 years we might think different.. but for a striker this is nothing short of absymal.. If you want the figures to look better add the 20 reserve goals but its still pretty poor dont you think guys.. Quote

If you want the figures to look better add the 20 reserve goals but its still pretty poor dont you think guys.. He does!! That was his 51st for Aberdeen last night. And was his 34th under Calderwood in 96 starts and 29 sub appearences. Quote
Drewsome Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 Mackie's gotten them when we needed them this year. Quote
caledonia Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 He does!! That was his 51st for Aberdeen last night. And was his 34th under Calderwood in 96 starts and 29 sub appearences. Sorry for the wrong info i took it off the bbc site here http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/shared/bsp/hi/football/statistics/players/m/mackie_42333.stm anyway 34 is not to hot either for your main striker not in 96+29= 125 games Quote
Mackie's ace! Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 Going by the squadlist on the page it looks somewhat out of date.. Quote
caledonia Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 yes never looked just went for quick reference Quote
capitalsharpie Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 Maybe its quality (in that they are REALLY important goals) as opposed to quantity with Mackie. Any way all is forgiven for the now. Nice one !!! Quote
CtS Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 Even if we were blessed with a prolific '25 a season' striker, I'd still want Darren Mackie on the bench. He's one of us, he gets stuck in, and he's still scoring some really big goals for the club. Good work fella. Quote
SWA Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 That was his 51st for Aberdeen last night. And was his 34th under Calderwood in 96 starts and 29 sub appearences. Well dun tae the lad though Quote
tlg1903 Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 Actually when you think about it mackie and calderwood are remarkably similar. Both frustrate the hell out of you but seem to pull it out of the bag just when you least expect it. Well done Dazzlin! Quote
