Can Kennedy play on the left? I mean, he sounds like an exciting player and it shows how highly the club regard him by the length of the deal, but seems an odd move. Regardless, looking forward to seeing what he can do.

So now that Morris is here (and as pointed out by Manc_Don, Kennedy can play left too) our squad depth is:-

GK: Lewis, Roos

LB: Coulson, Mackenzie, Hayes

LCB: Scales (McCrorie I guess)

RCB: Stewart, Bates, McCrorie, Milne

RB: Richardson, McCrorie

CM: Ramadani, McCrorie, Polvara, Barron

AM: Barron, Besuijen

LW: Hayes, Watkins, Coulson, Miovski, Besuijen, Kennedy

RW: Morris, Roberts, Kennedy, Duk, McLennan, Duncan, Miovski, Besuijen

CF: Miovski, Ramirez, Duk, Morris, Harvey

So, first choice XI and first choice back ups?

Left sided defender and Connor Ronan and I'm happy.

Anyone know how much we paid for Morris? thought i saw £500k mentioned somewhere, surely not....

Hopefully draw a line under the Ronan link this week, with an alternative lined up if no go....

Speculating, but punt Bates and get in a defender, the latter defendant on the former?

Vinny and Miovski can play #10?? I still see Barron as a deeper lying center mid, no? Definitely want Ronan and a decision with wolves keeping him or not is any day now I read..

Where does Morris play? Winger or forward? Don't think we signed 3 out and out forwards in Morris, Miovski, and Duk. Thinking all can either play wide too or #10...

As a proponent of a 4-4-2 diamond, I'd actually like to see him alongside McCrorie with Ramadani behind them, the sparkling No10 in front of them, and two up front.

Coulson and Richardson could overlap and provide the width.

Doubt we'd ever lose a game again to be honest.

Don't think Roberts is a winger. Looks like a central player to me.

According to transfer market website the majority of his games were at right wing.

Yeh in 36 games last season, 33 of them were at right wing.

Truth be told, can't remember where he played when he was introduced on Sunday.

Think he was central. The reason I say he doesn't look like a winger, is because he appears to have quick feet, but doesn't look that fast. I also thought his tracking looked a little suspect. Sort of guy you could leave quite high up and maybe sacrifice in the games where possession is hard to come by.

That is just a prediction from the cameo against the Tims though, but I like to go out on a limb early to give me the best chance of being proven wrong.

Fleetwood fans saying it was nearer £250k.Welcome aboard Shay 👍

Hopefully means room in the kitty still for a £2/3 million midfield general

If so that puts our outlay at at about 1.75 Mill.

We defo need a bit more depth in midfield

A bit more??! That’s being kind.

we have one legit central midfielder, and he’s new and unproven and hasn’t played in Scotland before. Mccrorie is showing he should be a central midfielder but will get moved around. Barron just came through 6 months ago and is now a very young and inexperienced player with plenty of expectation and demands being placed on his young shoulders. Totally feel polvara should be going out on loan.
crazy that we had a log jam at center mid last year, now we don’t have enough (yet??)

enough!

Leighton Clarkson, or Jim as he's known to his friends, apparently coming on loan from Calvin Ramsay FC.

Hopefully we'll ship a few out soon. We seem to be building a big squad and there'll likely be a few duds included so best to keep things a bit lighter and let some of our own youth fill the gaps.

There an echo in here? I know we’re quieter than other forums but…. 😉

Can he play LCB?

Good to see a great historic name like Leighton rather than Jayden, Hayden or Shayden.

If he's any good hopefully it's a Dylan Levitt situation and we can snap him up permanently. Jurgen Klopp owes us one after Danny Ward.
