OrlandoDon Posted May 21, 2022 Report Posted May 21, 2022 I see Leeds and Burnley threatening Everton with legal action regarding their finances. Anyone well educated in this kind of stuff? Could Scottish teams go in this direction with rangers? Quote
RicoS321 Posted May 21, 2022 Report Posted May 21, 2022 Very interesting. It looks like they haven't pursued legal action, just asked the EPL to investigate. Would be very interesting to see if that brought up anything untoward, but I imagine that if it did it would be months and months in the future. I can't see a quick investigation taking place, say in time to save Leeds or Burnley from relegation. It'd be interesting to see if they pursued compensation if an investigation does find something, or legal action if the EPL refuse to investigate. Everton's losses do seem to be suspiciously high. In terms of the Huns, the financial fair play rules will be easy for them to get round I expect. I actually don't know what they're set at in terms of losses in this country, but it's likely to be significantly weighted in their favour allowing them losses that will exceed the combined turnover of all other clubs. Jute Posted May 21, 2022 Report Posted May 21, 2022 Pretty sure rule 1 in Scotland will be these rules do not apply to The Rangers. 1 Quote
