Could play as part of a three if we were playing a 4-5-1, but don't think you'd want either there against a team outwith the scum. Unless we're doing a McInnes game management of course. I don't see the two of them playing together without a shoehorn involved. It'd be a little bit like when we played Ferguson there. He wasn't poor, but you need someone better at that role. Agree about Ronan, I would have preferred him, but now Clarkson is here we don't need him. 1 Quote
tlg1903 Posted August 8, 2022 Report Posted August 8, 2022 We've still not heard anything about Coulson which is worrying. He was supposed to be getting an mri on his ankle today. Not to sound heartless but if it's bad I wonder if the loan can be cancelled and his wage redeployed . I really hope its not bad though, I've liked the look of him from the little we have seen. 1 Quote
OrlandoDon Posted August 11, 2022 Report Posted August 11, 2022 Did we ever get an update on the coulson injury??? Quote

Jute Posted August 11, 2022 Report Posted August 11, 2022 Being reported Roberts is out for 8 to 10 weeks with hamstring injury. Quote

Aye thats the bad news. The good news is Coulson should be back training next week. Gutted for roberts but at least we are well stocked in his position. Quote

And there were fold complaining we were carrying too large a squad that might cause unrest re playing time. With our injury curse we can never have too many decent players in any position Quote

With our injury curse we can never have too many decent players in any position I disagree. The competition for places higher up the park is beneficial because it's the area where changes win games. Defence and centre midfield you generally want consistency and solidity. There's a big difference between having a good winger or striker in the bench and having a good midfielder there. One will get lots of minutes, the other not so much. With regards Roberts, he didn't look a player on first (and second) impressions. I wonder if part of the move for another creative player is that we recognise the possibility that he might not be good enough. No criticism mind, we've had a lot of signings, some are going to be poor. Quote
