Kowalski Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 The home fixture v Falkirk on Saturday 5 April has been moved to Monday 7 April with a 7.45pm kick off due to Setanta coverage. http://www.afc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/clubNewsDetail/0,,10284~1274598,00.html Quote
TheChimp Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 Oh well done. We might have got a crowd for that one. Quote
Guest bloo_toon_red Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 You are fucking kidding me on! Nice one AFC. Bunch of wanks. I was looking forward to this one. That's an automatic 1,000 knocked off the attendance then. Quote
Kowalski Posted March 26, 2008 Author Report Posted March 26, 2008 I'm not sure what the situation is but can the club do anything other than comply with Setanta/The SPL? Quote
TheChimp Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 We've just to bend over and take it. Quote
Guest Caroline B Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 Once again the dictators that are the telly folk move football from it's traditional Saturday time meaning that real fans have to move everything around to suit too. Swines! When the SPL signed the telly deal they knew that tv would take it's pound of flesh from the clubs, but taking it from the fans as well is a total liberty. No wonder crowds are dwindling. FOOTBALL FOR FANS! Quote
Superstar Tradesman Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 On the upside, us cyber fans will get to see the game. Every cloud and that..... Quote
Guest bloo_toon_red Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 I'm not sure what the situation is but can the club do anything other than comply with Setanta/The SPL? It's the ten days notice that pisses me off. I'm up the road anyway that weekend but other central belt dons have already booked their train tickets specifically for the game and it's happening with too much regularity these days. Quote
Jute Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 You are fucking kidding me on! Nice one AFC. Bunch of wanks. I was looking forward to this one. That's an automatic 1,000 knocked off the attendance then. And the rest. Would have thought Falkirk would have brought a big support (for them) if it was to decide top 6 finish. Little chance of making this one now. Thnakfully I held off from booking the train last night. Quote
BigAl Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 Thank you very much you bastards Had already made plans to get up for this one. As others have already said anticpated a half decent crowd for this if still possibility of getting into top six and vouchers being given out for potentail cup final appearance. Guess its a half day off work or sit in the hoose and watch it then Quote
Cowie Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 While it is a shite move.... The 80k that Setanta gives the club would account for 4000 fans @£20 each. Would still be better with more fans at the game though. Quote
Ajja Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 On the upside, us cyber fans will get to see the game. Every cloud and that..... Forgot to cancel my Santa from the Bayern game. Might as well keep it now. I'm happy Quote
manc_don Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 What a farce, I was actually going to make the trip up for this one. Football for fans? My arse... Quote
Penfold Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 While it is a shite move.... The 80k that Setanta gives the club would account for 4000 fans @£20 each. Would still be better with more fans at the game though. I'm fairly sure we don't actually get any extra money for having our matches on Setanta. The tv money each team gets is purely based on league position and not the amount of matches of theirs are on. Or at least thats what I am led to believe. Quote
Mackie's ace! Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 As long as it's a better showing from the Dons this year than last year on my Birthday. Maybe we should complain as QoS will have a week to prepare for semi final and now we won't? It's a conspiracy!!!! Quote
Aberdeen_Ladette Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 While it is a shite move.... The 80k that Setanta gives the club would account for 4000 fans @£20 each. Would still be better with more fans at the game though. Fuckin disgrace this has been moved, especially at such late notice. Cowie ..... the club don't get anymore money for this. Edit: Sorry Penfold, didn't notice your post. That's my understanding of the situation as well. Quote
rednek Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 Shite decision. Could have been a good atmosphere at that game. Quote
Mackie's ace! Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 The Ultras will still be there to create our famous atmosphere. Quote
boboisared Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 Excellent news, will get to the game now. Quote
Cowie Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 Well in that case they are cunts!!!! Must have been thinking about cup matches.. Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 This is pish. End of message. Short notice and usual short termist shite making a complete mockery of the Scottish game yet again. Quote
mizer Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 Will it still be a 'vouchered' game for the final Quote
