SeeBass Posted April 14, 2023 Report Posted April 14, 2023 Here's a random question for a Friday afternoon. With Joe Lewis, Kelle Roos, Jay Gorter all seeing action this season when was the last campaign three goalkeepers represented us??? Quote
RicoS321 Posted April 14, 2023 Report Posted April 14, 2023 Snelders, Watt, Stillie? Gonzalez etc, etc. Langfield, Ward, Brown? I'm just throwing names out, it probably happened quite recently. Quote
tom_widdows Posted April 14, 2023 Report Posted April 14, 2023 (edited) Rico beats me to it 1993-94 Theo Snelders Michael Watt Derek Stillie John Burridge 1999-00 Jim Leighton Ryan Esson David Preece 2011-12 David Gonzalez Jason Brown Jamie Langfield Edited April 14, 2023 by tom_widdows 1 Quote
RicoS321 Posted April 14, 2023 Report Posted April 14, 2023 Forgot about budgie that year. Woodman, Rogers, Lewis is probably the most recent. Rogers got one game I think after Lewis got injured and McInnes (correctly) didn't trust him and got Woodman on loan. Quote

KWT15 Posted April 16, 2023 Report Posted April 16, 2023 (edited) Brian Irvine played in goal, if we're adding players who went in mid-match (twice, IIRC). Edited April 16, 2023 by KWT15 Spelling Quote

SeeBass Posted April 16, 2023 Author Report Posted April 16, 2023 Can I move the discussion on a bit. Anybody else scored three penalties for us in one game like Paul Hartley did opening day of season against Hamilton Academical??? Don't think I've ever seen those three penalties since being at the match. Quote

One for Irvine was against Hibs in Nov '91 when Snelders got sent off for decking Keith Wright (Irvine saved the pen), so yes for that in 91-92 (as Watt played the next game). And you can add Peter Van de Ven to the other 3 in 90-91 (went in goals for injured Snelders at Easter Rd - I remember that one, as he spent a good bit of the time conducting the away end songs).
