manc_don
Jesus Christ, our post winter break fixtures can’t say it’s the kindest of starts either only the Christmas ones are decent.
BigAl
Fucking hell Manc, just had a look at these and you're not kidding Ok, so accept that you have to play them in some form of order, but really don't think that's been kind to us in any form Only positive I can take out of it at first glance is that we won't be going to the Tattiedome three times this season on league business
DantheDon
Worst thing about the run of games against the Glasgow and Edinburgh teams is the potential to have a few bad results in a row and lose confidence. Obviously hope we can take something against all of them but if you don't it can be hard to get things back on track.

tlg1903
Surprised folks are focusing on the post break fixtures when December is insane. From the 31st of of November to the 2nd of January we have 10 fixtures to play. That's a game every 3.4 days to put it into a little context.

Reekie_Red
Without consulting Google, it seems to me we always play Celtic in either our first home game or their first home game. I can't remember us getting the better of them in the opener either, other than Hignetts first home game

Mcgeady (2) and McDonald made it 3-0 by HT. Aluko got one back) 1999/00 - Dons 0-5 Tic (Larrson and 2 from Viduka made it 3-0 at HT. Jess missed a penalty almost straight from the restart before Larson and Burchill fininshed it off. Shite day all round with bunch of Tic fans trying to start a fight with me and my much younger mate pre match as we were walking through Codonas, then having their away support singing 'Aberdeen, Aberdeen, Aberdeen' after the 5th goal went in. 1998/99 - Dons 3-2 Tic (Perry, made it 1-0 at HT followed by Blinker OG and Hignett. Larsson scored 2. Tic missed 2 of 3 penalties) 1996/97 - Dons 2-2 Tic (Van Hooijdonk free kick making it 1-0 at HT. Alan Stubbs sent off with Windass scoring the penalty. Shearer then made is 2-1 with 9mins left only for a sickening last minute equaliser by Andreas Thom). 1995/96 - Dons 2-3 Tic (All goals in first half. Boyd OG quickly followed by Jess. Then Collins(2) and Thom scored with the third for me being the start of the demise of Snelders) 1990/91 - Tic 0-3 Dons (0-0 at half time then Mason, Connor, & Ghillhaus came along) 1981/82 - Dons 1-3 Tic (Strachan opened scoring then Tommy Burns and Frank Mcgarvey (2) turned it round)

Burley's face completely lacked conviction and Bandy Jim saved the pen. Loved that game

I would normally have booked train for this before now so would have lost out on transport costs. However on this occasion not booked anything as there are Engineering works so was looking at alternatives.

OrlandoDon
Next 3 games, county at home, bottom club livi away, Dundee at home. county have us away, at killie, then home to rangers. if we show up that’s 9 points, and potentially zero for county. We’d be 12 points ahead with 5 games to play, one of which against county. We’ve play twice at dingwall already so good change that’s a home game. could be pretty much safe by the split.
